Done deal. Leafs receive a 2nd rounder and another conditional pick.

Big Nik is deserving of a lot of respect from the Leaf faithful. He was a consummate professional in perservering through a lot of early-career controversy to become a productive top six scorer. Best of luck to Nik in the Big Apple.

    A 2nd rounder? Why’s everyone so conservative, I thought Nik was a sure shot 1st rounder. He’s big, strong, has great hands… I guess his pending UFA status doesn’t help.

    There was like 6 sellers..but none of them could get good returns on their assets. A 2nd rounder for Antro is not a good deal, especially one that’s going to be closer to the end of the 2nd.

    lol a horrible deal for Antropov… Moore one was just about what we all expected…. but a late 2nd rounder for Antropov is not right… although I don`t think Antropov will sign with the Rangers next season so forget the conditional pick. I am pretty sure Antropov will want to come back to the Leafs or head somewhere else.

    @king. Antropov coming back to the Leafs? You kidding me? After all that criticism from Burke, Im not too sure if Antropov wanna come in with a good feeling to play for the Leafs again. If i was Antropov today, i’d feel embarassed.

    I honestly think this trade sucks, everyone knows that even the second half of the first round is a crapshoot why offload a descent point producer who could be even better in a rebuilt Leafs team for a second round pick? Is Burke hoping to have a pick trade on draft day or is he planning on bringing Antro back in over the Summer?
