Join TSM in support of The Ride To Conquer Cancer
I’m going to take a moment to depart from hockey talk, and encourage readers and fellow bloggers to join our friends at Toronto Sports Media in their open challenge to raise unprecedented Barilkosphere support for The Ride To Conquer Cancer.
From June 13-14, registered cyclists (including AM 640′s Greg Brady) will ride 200km in two days from Toronto to Niagara Falls. Donations will support research, teaching, and compassionate care at the Princess Margaret Hospital, one of the top cancer research hospitals in the world.

Lastly, an open challenge to ALL the Sports teams CEO’s and Execs and all the other awesome bloggers in the GTA – I have sponsored [Greg] Brady for his ride to conquer cancer – I put up $50. Match or beat me… Come on we can do it!!! The link to donate is here.
This is an important cause – and an amazing event – to which I hope you will consider lending your support. Even if a donation is not possible (and for many it isn’t), simply spreading the word and raising awareness can be just as impactful. Many of us have been touched by cancer at some point in our lives, or know somebody close to us who has, and this is our chance to make a significant difference.

They are riding right passed my house for this event. I wish everybody the best, even as a regular rider there is no way I can manage 100km per day. Damn.

Update: Greg Brady surpassed his goal of raising $2500.00 toward the ride earlier this evening, and the donations continue to pour in. A special thanks to all those who donated, are planning to donate, or have contributed via spreading the news of this event. You guys are awesome!!!
