i like blake for a bag of pucks…i know he had decent point production but look at the number of shots he takes, he’s got one of the worst shooting %’s on the leafs forward lines. He wastes the puck way to many times.

White is being discussed because that is the rumour coming off of the NY blogs. It was mentioned specifically in Newsday and the NY Post also, which is why it is getting some play. For my own part, I have not heard anything from my sources as to who the Leafs might be willing to part with in a trade scenario for Zherdev.

You may have that backwards. I’m a White fan but on a one on one comparison its Zherdev for me. You mention Zherdev in the playoffs which is something you can’t even mention about White. The salary differential was awarded by an abitrator who deemed Zherdev’s value. Not sure an arbitrator would rule the same $$ for White.

To all you people who are suggesting White be traded for Zherdev: I think you are grossly under estimating White and grossly over estimating Zherdev. Zherdev is a hot and cold, poor in playoffs type who will not inspire his mates. White is a very talented consistent hard working guy who inspires his mates. Look at the salary differential…Hello!!

Heard a Blake interview recently where Blake was asked who impressed him this past season and his immediate response was Grabovski. He suggested he has the whole package to be a very good player. Sometimes passion means a want to win attitude. Something this team has lacked for awhile.
