- The Toronto Marlies took a thrilling 5-4 shootout decision against the Chicago Wolves, with each of the College Frat Pack making an impact. Tyler Bozak recorded a goal and an assist, Stalberg scored once, while Hanson chipped in an assist. Defenseman Juraj Mikus added an assist and tallied the shootout winner.

- Nazem Kadri continued his chippy play so far this season, receiving an abuse of the official misconduct in addition to a pair of assists in a 5-4 victory over his former club, the Kitchener Rangers. Elsewhere around the OHL, Jesse Blacker recorded a powerplay assist. Over in the QMJHL, Philliipe Paradis and Joel Champagne were both held off the scoresheet, while Mikhail Stefanovich managed an assist. There were rumors of a possible trade involving Stefanovich going to another junior team earlier today, but it doesn’t seem to have been the case.

- Lastly, I’ve got a pair of Greens to Saturday night’s game (tomorrow) against Alex Ovechkin and the Capitals that I’m looking to move at cost. Drop me an email if interested.

    I believe Bozak got one of the shootout goals also. Hopefully rounding into shape after illness and injury.

    I was thinking the same thing but then I can get tickets at cost for a Leafs game this year as well but could really care less. This is a team I will cheer for via TV but not one I would pay $100 to go watch. I really dont think we are far from having empty seats at the ACC. I think its part of the overall lousy sports management across the entire sports spectrum in Toronto…Blue Jays, FCC, Raptors, Argos are all lousy teams managed by apparently lousy managers. So the sports funk gripping the city feels more and more perpetual…we should change our name to Cleveland.

    Anybody see the interview with Paradis…man the kid speaks English worse than Ovechkin. I hope he can pick up his offensive game because the work ethic is there and the hitting/2 way play is there, just needs to take that next step in offense.

    On the Leafs website you can sign up for the Last Minute Club to buy seats for Leaf games. They have been sending me e-mails every other week advertising tickets that are available. Haven’t bought any yet, but I have searched for availabilty in every price range and they are there for the taking. My guess is the scalpers don’t want to take the tickets from the subscribers so this is a marketplace for seasons ticket subscribers to unload games they don’t want.

    starting to see why Burke and co. picked Kadri. he may not be the biggest guy on the ice, but he’s one tough SOB and he won’t put up with any crap from anyone. he’ll be a great player in the NHL (hopefully only for the Leafs).
