Viktor Stalberg has been recalled by the Toronto Maple Leafs today. Stalberg is the leading scorer for the Marlies, with 8 goals and 13 assists for 21 points in 19 games. There are rumors circulating that he will take over Jason Blake’s position on the 2nd line with Mikhail Grabovski and Niklas Hagman. There is also the possibility that Jonas Gustavsson will get one of the Leafs starts in goal as they prepare for 3 games in 4 nights beginning tomorrow night in Buffalo.

    The Leafs are still going to beat them….whoever is in net!! Buffalo is just a beat better than us and we will outwork them this time and come away victorious!!

    Wallin bashing is on…it’s the in thing…I’m tired of him doing very little with the puck…I like his defensive game, but he is no threat at all in the opposing end and I don;t know why…he had numbers there before in this league and in Sweden…until he starts to produce, I’m going to sour on him!! I’d rather give that spot to one of the kids who can hit, if that is all we are going to get from Wallin…IMO

    I wish I had your optimism regarding our game against Buffalo and Miller particularly. He’s always been really tough on us but even more so now what with RW and BB being in charge of the US olympic team and his wish to impress them so he will start for the US team.
    Just another motivation for him.

    I agree that he has been particularly sharp against us this year, but I think the boys will be flying and he won;t have as much of a chance to beat us this time! A golaie can only do so much for your team…we saw that last night in parts with Toskala.

    I don’t understand the timing for calling up Stalberg at all… The forwards have been so good as of late and really are showing chemistry. It was our defense that let us down last night not the forwards. Kulemin – Preimau – Stempniak have been playing amazing, No way Poni – Stajan – Kessel are going to be broken up, and Blake on the 2nd line is FINALY heating up. Where is the damn logic in this at all?

    Find me one post.where I am critical of spelling or grammar. Just one. Also find me one where I have taken a personnal shot without first being provoked and I don’t mean someone disagreeing with my opinion. I question opinions and state my own. You on the other hand.just jump in with an insult when you were.not even part of the conversation. Read back and tell me I am wrong.

    I hope Victor gets some Kessel time. Someone with speed and hands.

    Wallin sure is an enigma. I saw an amazing end to end rush on Youtube when he was playing on Sweden. But so far his offensive skills have been hidden from us. The more I think about it, his confidence while playing in this league appears to be the greatest achilles heel for him.
