Thanks Trottier13, I’ll definitely do that if I can’t find a reliable feed elsewhere.

Canada should win. We have a stacked team all around and we have 4 good forward lines an 3 good defensive lines. I don’t think it will be easy but we should win gold.
My prediction: Canada beats Sweden for gold and Russia beats USA for bronze.

this may have been answered already…

but Kulemin was told not to go very far from home as he was one of the first to get contacted in the event of an injury. Read that in the Sun on Sunday, but can’t find a link.

This game is going to be a joke.

    1 NHLer on Norway’s team, and he’s a bum.

Prediction: 9-0 Canada, if they stop trying after the 2nd period. 17-0 if they don’t

    @ the_cause2000:
Norway has this game in the bag, nobody can stop the mighty Norwegian march on their way to Gold!

O ya and my predictions for the medals will be 1. Canada (Favourite but we are beatable) 2. Sweden (Very solid team up and down). 3. Russia (Could win it all if Nabokov can play well with a fairly weak D) 4. Czech Republic (Very good team) 5. USA (They need Miller to be fantastic otherwise they are done) 6. Findland 7. Swiss 8. Who cares by now

is goals for/against a tie break? if so… the pedal will be to the floor!

I have to say that not only do I think Yzerman did a perfect job in selecting the management team, and coaching team, but also the players. There is not a single change I would make. I also have to say that the line selections by the coaches is brilliant in my opinion. If there is one small adjustment that could be made, it would be to see Doughty get a little more ice, but again it’s hard to say who should sit.
I also think both the Russians and USA are very good teams. Goaltending is the biggest factor and few are better than Ryan Miller, and Nabokov and Bryzgalov right now. Sweeden and Finland could win on any given day with their goaltending. Goaltending is why Canada would lose. Plain and simple, if Canada doesn’t get top goaltending, they may not get a medal. If Canada gets great goaltending they should be there. Having said that, we have three guys to choose from. Call me crazy but I like Fleury right now.
Why Canada should win? I love that line of Getzlaf, Perry, and Staal. How do you handle that combination of speed, size, skill and heart. That line should dominate. I am a little concerned about the San Jose line but they won’t get ice time if they go flat. Our fourth line can easily pick up the slack. Our top line looks great too, Crosby has been on fire, and Bergeron was a great inclusion on the team.
There is going to be some fantastic hockey.

Sid will see most of the hard checking. That will give the likes of the Getzlaf line a huge chance to be clutch difference makers.

Canada-Russia for the finals, and I won’t even dare predict the outcome for fear of jinxing our team.

I’m hiring a witch-doctor as we speak, or better yet, and given the great luck we’ve had for 4 decades, why don’t we just make Leaf’s Nation cheer for the Russians?!

Up Brodeur’s ass. You think Ovechkin would dig that out if Russia won?

  • The Captain

    Another Gold for Canada!

  • LeafLover93

Don’t underestimate the Russians; especially not their 4th line. Morozov is potentially the best player not in the NHL right now, and Zaripov+Zinoviev are deadly in the KHL. Their 3rd line is their make or break point.

That being said, Canada’s roster is F*ing unbelievable. Toews and Iginla on the 4th line, think about that for a minute…

USA will medal, mark my words- Miller is (an) incredible (SOB i hate him so much…make that “I hate him and buffalo they can all !@$$^#!#^@!@, etc.), and ridiculous work ethic beat big names (most) any day
