We determined the listing of the prospect reports to produce every week. Seems with each new video, the prospect shines.

This week is no exception, with Viktor Stalberg already capturing Torontosaurus Rex honours. In fact, there’s a lot of love going round for the Swede lately.

    @ Alex Tran:

    I know you spend a lot of time keeping up with prospects, and that’s much appreciated. This question may be more down Garrett’s alley, but do you know how many players the Leafs have the rights to. I read there is a 90 player limit(as well as the 50 contract limit, minus 18 & 19 year olds), but don’t recall what it is called. Also, someone asked earlier if the Leafs would sign Joel Champagne to a contract.(presumably after some or all of Lundmark, Exelby, Van Ryn, Frogren and Wallin are gone.) What do you think?

    Erik Gustafsson recently signed a contract with the Philadephia Flyers and has joined their AHL team. Has been impressive thus far.

    We will miss Kaberle on the PP but I think that can be cured by landing Brad Richards who is awesome on the point on powerplays.

    And on top of things Erik Gustafsson has scored 4 pts (1G & 3A) in 4 games for the Phantoms. He would of been sweet for the Leafs.

    Would you consider Champagne a Wayne Primeau type of player? I think I read he was strong on the face-off, but haven’t seen him.

    Brad Richards sucks balls. How is it you’re a minus 11 when you play oppurtunistically against 2nd-4th line players, and have 90 points on the season? I highly doubt Burke looks at Richards, who is old now for the way the Leafs are reconstructing the forward crew. Imagine a bunch of 24 and unders, and then Richards. Can’t imagine he’d waive his clause to be the wizened old man on our youthful attack.
