I’m surprised CBC didn’t get the Montreal series vs. Washington. I guess each major network had to split between Crosby and Ovechkin.

    Capitals in 5
    Philadelphia in 7
    Sabres in 6
    Penguins in 4

    I think we’re going to see a Wings/Pens round 3.

Pitts will take Ottawa, and then take Washington in another epic 7 game series. The Red Wings are going to march through the playoffs like it’s a cakewalk, meet the Hawks in the third round, and give them everything they can handle and more, beating themin 7 games this time, ensuring that Marian Hossa begins pondering suicide.

Haha, how sweet that would be (him getting beat by a former team again, not if he committed suicide)

Caps in 4, they’re rolling right now.
Jersey in 4, as are they
Sabres in 6, should be a pretty bad ass battle
Pens in 5, pens are just so much stronger

Avs in 7, alot of votes for SJ so far, they look really shaky coming into the playoffs
    Hawks in 5, western champs.
Canucks in 6, LA is not quite ready just yet.
Wings in 7, surprisingly evenly matched. but wings will prevail.

some pretty good match ups, really pulling for vancouver this year, may as well stay canadian. site looks great by the way!!

    Hooray for the new site!

Teams I hope don’t make it through the first round:
    East
    Montreal (obviously)
    Phili (potential shakeup in aftermath)
Buffalo (only because the further Boston goes, the worse their pick)
    Ottawa (obviously)

    West
San Jose (an early exit might pry Marleau away)
    Nashville (I like Chicago)
Vancouver (#3 on my all time hate list)
    Phoenix

Looks like we will see Pittsburgh vs. Washington in Round 2 again. Wow.

I can’t even predict a winner there. But whoever does win, will likely face Chicago in the Cup Final.

Detroit will beat Phoenix and most likely upset San Jose. But I don’t think they’re strong enough this year to go any deeper and will lose to Chicago in Round 3.

Cup Final – Chicago vs. winner of Pittsburgh/Washington

Either way it will be an exciting final.

Actually, maybe I’m not giving New Jersey enough credit.

I could see them Philly and Buffalo…. And a New Jersey vs. PIT/WAS series will be good, I could see them upsetting.

I don’t think Pittsburgh is as strong this year. Losing Scuderi and Gill might actually hurt their defensive side of their blueline.

Tuff road ahead for anyone looking to get to the conferwence finals. Let’s hope Ottawa can play the same game they did this year when they were winnig 12 in a row. This could be a huge upset! No likely but still possible!!!
