We had to bump the Tuesday Prospect Report, but here it is … this week, its a player that confirmed his signing right here on Maple Leafs Hot Stove, Tyler Bozak. Once again, always great work from Bloge Salming. Enjoy.

For related Tyler Bozak reading, check out Junior`s `Good News`post about the 23 year old.

This guy is going to be one heck of a player in a couple years! I can’t help but once again sing praise to Brian Burke. He is fantastic at contract negotiation and will surely work some magic again over the summer!

I think the crazy part is he only played 15 games last year. With a good training camp and summer he should be even better this year too

agreed, he seems to be so calm with the puck and has great vision and hockey sense. Reminds me a bit of Dougie just not as feisty yet.

Between injury, inability to workout, H1N1 flu Bozak lost a lot of weight at the beginning of the year.
Combined with a long pro hockey season, he was unable to put his normal weight back on.
He will naturally put 5-7 lbs back on over the summer.
    .
An additional 5-7 lbs of muscle from training all offseason will make him a stronger player.
I expect a breakout season from him next year playing with Kessel.

Am I the only one that thinks after what he has shown he is capable of and the glimpses of his potential that every other team in the league hasn’t seen that too thus really making an emphases to check him tighter?

As good as he looked this past limited playing time, next year will be a challenge for him to over come the extra attention he earned…. lets wait and see how he copes with that to know what exactly we have here or not.

I love his vision and patience. You say holding onto puck too long, I say waiting for the right time to distribute!!

I love the youth of this team !

How many games did Bozak play this year? Does any one know if he is still eligible for the calder next year?

Found it. Has to play less than 25 games, too bad he played over 35 otherwise he would have had a great shot at it next year.

    @RJ.

Not to be too selfish but I dont give a flying fuck about individual trophies, we need to win as a team.

Plus Kadri will win the Calder…haha.

I read alot of Mike Ulmer (great leafs personality on mapleleafs.com) and he maintains and i agree that Tyler Bozak should play with Phil Kessel. They just both compliment each other so well. The trick is to find a winger that works well with them.

I always like the Kulemin combo within that line, but a Bill Guerin type of grinder is sorrily needed. That leaves us with a great second line of Kadri and his wingers.

I think Kadri should start on either the 3rd line or the AHL….although i hate Grabovski.

I think the playoffs have showed the need for a great Defense and Goaltending tandem….i just hope the Monster can become that shutdown goalie.

Im excited to see some competition for roster spots next training camp.

So is Hanson’s inclusion on Team USA at the Worlds part of Burkes master plan?

    @ Tim Horton:

atdhe.net has some, jays a bit more often now that no raps or leafs to follow. Otherwise myp2p.eu check the forums, you’ll need to get some different software, and its not as simple (or reliable) as atdhe.net, but they generally have links for every game.
