Leafs return to London, Ontario to battle Conference Champion Flyers

I am just sitting here and thinking. Getting ready to go away for the weekend and am already in fishing and cottage mode. I really dont think there are any untouchables on this roster other than Dion and Kessel. That is my opinion. I have to admit, I am emmotionally, sick as it may sound, attached to Luke Schenn. He was our pick, and he is just a good old country boy and he reminds me of Wendel…..and we all know how that relationship between player and fan blossomed over the years and I am a sucker for that in this day and age of asshole pro athlete. I love Luke Schenn. My kids love Luke Schenn. My Hab fan neighbor loves Luke Schenn. My bruin fan father in law loves Luke Schenn.
But sadly, I dont think he is untouchable.
I also dont think Komi and Beauch are untouchable.
I think Kadri could be had as well.
I think BB knows what he wants and he will move the earth to get what he wants. I have maintained that I believe Schenn and Komi and Beauch are very valuable assetts to have and other teams are in need of them. These playoffs have exposed a lot of teams weak back ends and especially the need for rugged, big defenders. I believe and yes I have heard the arguments of BB not moving a newly signed free agent like Komi and Beauch but I think that is as dilusional as Hab fans thinking they have a good team and have a bright future moving forward. ( Nice scouting dept by the way…lmao ) We need to remember BB and Dave Nonis have a job to do. And they know and we should all know and recognize that BB s next 4 to 5 trades and or signings are going to mould this team for the duration of BB s contract. BB is at that time of his tenure to make it or break it minus little tweakings as the years go on. He has no room for error. He has to maximize Kabs as an assett. He has to look at where his depth is on this roster and on his farm teams roster. Why do we all think that the Dion deal was never gonna be concemated without the Flames throwing in a 6 foot 6 stay at home defencemen??? Why do we think BB traded for Exelby when we had Finger already?? And then go sign Komi and Beauch?? I believe he wanted them all to play well outta the gate last year so he could call everyone and say ” I have a surplus of servicable D men ——— and you all can have one but you are going to pay me big time.” It didnt work out the way becasue of the 0 and whatever start and BB lost the power to negotiate. I dont think he is going to let that happen again. His depth on the blue line along with the depth on the Marlies says one thing to me…….if I need to move a D to get my power forward……I will do so thank you very much. I think Kabs will be dealt for the future ( 1st rounder, previous 1st rounder )…….but I have a funny feeling that one of Komi or Beuch or Schenn ( sadly saying in regards to Schenn ) are the cornerstones surrounding a trade for our new top 6 power forward.

I dont think BB holds on to Luke Schenn just so we can secure his kid brother one day. Thats insane. Thats bad business. Thats OHL stuff…not NHL stuff. And i know BB wanted to draft him. Let me ask you…..would you feel the same way if one of Ryan, Perry of Getzalf were offered straight up for Luke Schenn???? Cause thats the kinda deal it will take to get a player like that. NOT KABERLE…..hes closer to the end than the beginning. I made it clear in my above post that I love Luke Schenn….I dont want him moved…..but I’m just saying that I believe Kabs WILL be dealt….but he be dealt for futures. And the big TOP 6 that BB covets will cost us something way more than KABS.
