    Per Jonas

TORONTO — Jonas Gustavsson makes his seventh straight in goal tonight when two of the league’s youngest teams clash at the Air Canada Centre.

Gustavsson has been stellar in the absence of J.S. Giguere, but he’s not about to press for more starts with Giguere nearly ready to return.”It’s not up to me,” said Gustavsson. “Whatever they think is best for me I’m gonna accept that.”

Giguere has missed the last six games with a groin injury and will back-up Gustavsson tonight. He is likely to start on Saturday against the Bruins.

Winners of two straight–including a miraculous 4-3 overtime comeback over Montreal last night–the Oilers arrive at the ACC primed to sweep their three-game eastern Canadian road trip (they won in Ottawa on Monday). Edmonton is loaded with young talent in the form of Taylor Hall, Jordan Eberle and Magnus Paajarvi, but the Leafs are actually younger as a group.

While the Oilers are the sixth youngest team in the NHL (26.9 average age), the Leafs sit tied for first (26.3) with the Colorado Avalanche. “They’re gonna be inconsistent at times because of their youth,” said Ron Wilson. “If they have really good game–maybe even like last night–there’s a tendency to have a let-down in the next game.

“Where we do have to jump on them is in their own end. A young team will struggle in their own end if we can apply the pressure in the right way and win some battles down low.”

John Mitchell will take the place of the injured Mike Brown on the fourth line. Colby Armstrong is expected to return from a finger injury on Saturday.

The Leafs have lost three straight following a 4-3 overtime loss to the Lightning on Tuesday.

I hope we get creamed tonight….cause that would be rock bottom.
Now….I am going for a smoke.

Maybe we gotta get a petition together to get RW fired and then get someone to post it on the ACC door or get Jonas or Mirtle to hand it to RW in person on camera cause that would be PRICELESS!

    @ FlappyPaddle:
I think there is only one person out there that should be giving Wilson that article and he writes for the Fan. They have had a battle since he started as much as I don’t agree with most of the stuff he writes you could never take that opportunity away from someone, ever.

    @ Tim:

Yeah James Earl Jones takes over for Bowen.

Maybe at that point, JEJ can explain just wtf Bowen was talking about when he decided to make the comment “ever think Kaberle should be moved to center”

    Best dumb ass comment ever.
