Phil Kessel will be looking for his 20th goal of the season tonight.

The 12th-place Toronto Maple Leafs return from the All-Star break with a home date against the 11th-place Florida Panthers. With six points standing between themselves and the Panthers, the Leafs will have to treat this one as a must-win if they are to have any hope of making up ground in the playoff race.

In their previous two meetings, the Leafs took a 3-1 victory on home ice, while the Panthers countered with a 4-1 victory on their home ice a month later.

Game Notes:

  • Phil Kessel returns from having represented the Leafs the All-Star game, and will be looking for his 20th goal.
  • Mikhail Grabovski, who has been among the more consistent Maple Leafs this season, enters the game on a 3-game pointless skid.
  • Colton Orr (concussion) and John Mitchell (knee) remain on the IR for the Leafs. For the Panthers, Shawn Mattias (ankle) and former Leaf Bryan McCabe (jaw) remain on the shelf.
  • Jean-Sebastien Giguere gets the start for Toronto, while Jonas Gustavsson continues to sit and James Reimer remains with the team in a 3-goaltender rotation.
  • Florida will counter with former Toronto Marlie netminder Scott Clemmensen.
