    Interesting read on Lightning site:
    Kaberle would waive no-trade for move to Tampa, says his buddy Pavel Kubina. Could Ryan Malone, and his 4.5 mill salary be headed to Toronto ? Yzerman deal in August was Malone and Carter Ashton, but that was with a year left on Kaberle’s salary.
    Is this the best we could get for Tomas?

    Good article posted by Burtonboy.
    -
    MacArthur – Grabs – Kulemin
    -
    … must be locked up. Obviously MacArthur is the only loose screw right now but this line is one of those surprises that no one really expects but benefits the team long term. Most of us in the offseason were looking for a Kessel – ? – ? line but down the depth chart were some great diamonds in the rough.
    -
    Reimer seems like that guy too, but we’ll wait and see.

    @ keon:
    Ok, just posting what I read, word for word. Somehow I think if anybody could talk someone into waiving a no-trade it would be Yzerman, all the players respect him. The more I think about it, isn’t Malone an American, and there is going to be a huge increase for Stamkos, and I also don’t think Vinny is going anywhere. Calgary should trade Kipper to them for Vinny IMO.

    @wags31

    Vinny has a NTC as well.
    Plus Vinny has stated he doesn’t want to leave. Malone said the exact same thing. If Yzerman could talk Malone out of the NTC, he would have done it this past summer.

    Gotta figure the Pens call about one of our forwards. MacA would be the one that would draw the most interest.
    Versteeg is probably the one that could actually be had.

    I think macA, versteeg,Armstrong, bozak, kulemin, kessel, grabo, brown are all untouchables in my eyes

    Malkin looks like he is gone for a long while with torn mcl and acl. They will need to do something to make a push or remain a contender. Maybe Malone heads back there who knows.. All I know is I actually feel sorry for the pens (for once)

    @gilbert

    I disagree on bozak, and versteeg. This team needs a number one centre. Those two players would help immensely in achieving that goal as part of the package. Versteeg’s problem is he’s not good enough to be on the second line, but he’s to good to be on the third line. Plus his cap hit is too much for him to be playing on the third line with Colby already their. Bozak will be a fine third line centre on a good NHL team, that could fill in the second spot if need be due to injuries and such. However, the Leafs have to give up something in order to get something. IF in fact Malkin was available this summer, I would think that these two players would have to be part of the package going to pittsburgh.
    Would be great to see how teams would try to defend:

    ? – Malkin – Kessel
    Kulemin – Grabovski – MacArthur

    @ SASH:
    Versteeg would be a good fit for Pitt, so would Mac, but I heard Burke say he isn’t trading Mac.
