Doing a quick calculation of the Leafs current 23 man roster, the average age is 25 years, 9 months

But according to Healy, the Leafs are not young like Edmonton

    @ Reether:
I just wonder though if a game a week will give management a chance to see if he can get to where they want him. If Jiggy stays healthy, maybe they send Reimer down so Monster can get the bulk of the starts. I can see this if, in the next week or so, we lose our games and are pretty much out of the running for 8th. Otherwise, I think they ride Reimz. Tough situation to get a good read on him.

Burke said yesterday on AM 640 that he believes that trading picks around 26, 29 and 38 (Phi 1st, Bos 1st and our 2nd) is enough to move into the top 10 in the draft. Do you agree? Should we do this?

It will depend as well on where the Boston and Philly picks end up. If luck is on the Leafs side for a change, they will be put out in the first round, then you would be looking at two picks in the 15-22 range, quite a bit better than where they currently sit.

Lupul said Burke contacted him to tell him the Islanders rumours yesterday weren’t true.

I don’t know about Boston, but no problem with Philly getting knocked out in the 1st round. The Leafs will smoke ‘em in 6!

RT @SeanFitz_Gerald Joffrey Lupul said he got a kick out of NYI gag. Said Burke actually texted to say he wasn’t going anywhere.

Now i know the kid is small, 5’11 and only 160 lbs, but he has pure skill. The kid is still growing too, i think he’d be a great pickup. look at that profile and watch the goal its a beauty! and it looks like he’s even got a fight on there hah.

Couturier would be even nicer to grab, but now im getting too excited.

Great move. A “big-game” goalie that will only refine over time. RT @mirtle: Sharks signed Antti Niemi to a four-year contract extension.
