Tim Connolly will make his first appearance against his former club tonight, as the Leafs and Sabres are set to lock up for an exhibition tilt. With the lineup Wilson has decided to go with, you’d swear this was anything but.

The Leafs will ice a lineup that will closely resemble what they’ll be going with on opening night of the regular season. The only real NHL regulars not on the roster are Colby Armstrong and Luke Schenn.

For Connolly, this should feel like a regular season match-up as well, since I’m sure the competition level will be at a high while he skates against some familiar faces.

From Jonas Siegel at TSN1050 Radio, here are the Leafs’ lines, after the jump.

Forwards:

Lupul-Connolly-Kessel

MacArthur-Grabovski-Kulemin

Kadri-Boyce*-Frattin

Crabb-Zigomanis-Orr

*This was originally Bozak, but Wilson says he’s banged up and won’t be in the lineup. Boyce moved up, Zigomanis slots in to be the fourth line center.

Defence:

Aulie-Phaneuf

Gardiner-Franson

Gunnarsson-Liles

Goaltenders:

Reimer

Scrivens

Only way its going to work is if you Package together Gunner, Foward(possibly 2) and a legit prospect for a Top 3 LW or C. IF you cant get a guy like that no sence in moving gunner for a Foward, move him for a Pick or a prospect for the future.

    Example
    Gunner, Bozak, MacA, Damigo
    for
    Parise

    Parsie / Connolly / Kessel
    Kuley / Grabs / Lupul
    Kadri / Lombardi / Armstrong

Call al GMS who are shy on D – and or wait for an injury and pillage them. We are on killer forward away from being golden.

I really like the way Gunner plays so I’d be hesitant in trading him, but if we could get some sort of legit power forward I’d be do it. Not sure who fits that description and would be available though…

between Lombardi’s apparently miraculous recovery and the way both Dupis and Boyce have played, I’d do this, with a bit of tweeking. Parise is on a one year deal so we might be able to weasel some more out of Jersey.
