Where’s Reimer?

Where’s Reimer? Can you find him? I know the Maple Leafs sure wish they could, as they have “no idea” when he’ll be back.

Goaltending was the main factor in last night’s loss to the Panthers, as the Maple Leafs had a 39-28 shot advantage. Although shot numbers can sometimes be deceiving, this clearly was not the case last night, as the Leafs had many quality scoring chances but were thwarted by Jose Theodore.

It’s not just that Gustavsson’s numbers (3.78 GAA, .878 SV%) are awful, it’s as if he’s the anti-Grant Fuhr, allowing weak goals at the most inopportune times.

As for Ben Scrivens, I guess we’ll have to be patient with him, as he’s not going to come in like James Reimer did last season and set the city on fire.

    one thing is for sure we need to add a quality goalie, which guy to go after could be debated all night, but it would of been great to get one at the beginning of the season. Three guys fighting for 2 jobs is healthy competition, now we deal from a position of weakness which is the worst case.

    If Burke is looking for a goalie he’s an option I think they certainly look at.

    No doubt, his veteran presence alone would help gus and scurvy, also help Reimer when he returns.

    His ability, past connections, price, term, veteran goalie etc. etc. If they didn’t make that inquiry I would be shocked.

    Ya for sure, the more I think about this the more it would fit the building plans and add some leadership at a good price. The question would only be how much would the Isles want? For a pick or lower prospect I’d think hard at doing it.
