In which Ron Wilson announces his own contract extension

Great news, probably atleast 3 weeks away though. I assume its for skating purposes only

This Ron Wilson thing is a major overreaction.

A) It literally changes nothing in terms of job security. He can be fired tomorrow as easily as he could last week. It really just gives him more financial security, which is a nice reward for a solid calendar year of performance.

B) The MSM are, of course, going to be pissed at this because Burke/Wilson went out of their way to avoid them by announcing via social media and on Christmas Day. The extension was probably agreed to last week sometime, and all that Twitter nonsense was a humorous ploy.

C) PK is one aspect amidst the hundreds of things an NHL coach is responsible for. I hate ours – it’s terrible, an absolute failure. But firing Wilson is in no way an appropriate solution or response.

D) The argument that Wilson should be fired for not making the playoffs these past few years is totally asinine. Asinine. The best NHL coach in the world couldn’t have done any more than he did with those rosters.

It’s like telling a baker who hasn’t been provided any flour that he should be fired for making you a shitty sandwich.

Lol, Cameron just asked what we are gonna do with all these players when they are healthy as Komi, Lombardi and even dupuis don’t seem to be far from returning!! Im just thinking BB will be looking to make a trade.
