Love or hate him, Prime Time Sport’s Bob McCown knows how to press Burke‘s buttons. The Leafs GM was at his acerbic, candid best in a Fan590 interview earlier this evening, participating in some playful banter with McCown and co-host Damien Cox while tackling a number of Leaf topics in a fascinating interview. Burke touches on the status of some of his front office staff, trade talks, the Sports Illustrated players poll that voted Phaneuf the league’s most overrated player for the second season running, his “rats” comment, Ovechkin/Kessel and the All Star Game, and much more.     Agreed. I feel as tho ppl dont know what overrated means…it means the general consensus of a player is extremely high but in actual fact theyre not as good as the tale. A person i think of when this is spoken, is St.Louis. sure hes a very solid player, but he is a midget who avoids bashing due to his handicap (being his size obvy). His pts r inflated on a good line and if he was in Kessels pos. When we first traded for him, he would be shit on due to the fact hed be our only star, and a measly. Non intimidating force that imo couldnt take a game over by himself

    watching the oilers vs devils game. The Devils pk is just amazing. Parise and Elias just put so much pressure on the opposition, but never over commit.

    other overrated players…any1 of the staals…Brad Richards, mike richards, derek roy, kopitar (streakier than the old Kessel),Henrik Lundvist (c playoff stats), Ryan Miller (same), Chara (just unfairly massive, no skill), Mikko Koivu (see salary), Price, backstrom (minny), Kipprusoff, Thornton. Underrated: Filppula, Duchene, Holmstrom (career shoutout for this), Eriksson, Letang, Krejci, Yandle, plekanec (painful to say), elias, Lupul….all i can think of lol.
