Joffrey Lupul continues to receive much deserved recognition for his standout campaign. He has earned the nod to serve as an alternate captain at the All-Star game.

Colby Armstrong’s nearing a return from his concussion injury, but will have to remain patient for the time being. Given a lack of conditioning and upcoming All-Star break, Ron Wilson explains that it may make more sense to pencil in a January 31st (Pittsburgh Penguins) return for Armstrong.

As can be expected, frustations continue to mount when you’re not winning. Some of that boiled over at Sunday practice when Carl Gunnarsson and Joey Crabb got into a bit of a disagreement.

Quirky Stat: Kessel likes to keep busy. When playing with 0-1 days rest, he’s put up 34 points in 29 games played. When given an extended break (2+ days rest), he’s scored at a more modest pace of 15 points in 17 games.

    I can’t dissagree.

    If his value is that good, trade him for someone bigger with the same abilities.

    I don’t expect he is going to turn it on and take it up to another level above where he was last year.

    I also think it’s just a case of when he gets hurt, not if.

    He’s a stop-gap player while we work on acquiring better players down the road.

    Hahaha, same I go on a hiatus every once in a while and hide out for a bit before I resurface on here LOL, but still have a pretty good number in post, not compared to some ppl i.e you, but it’s decent, so I just was wondering how you fellas got that beside your name lol

    I guess the real question is do you think Grabo is the solution to our #2 Center slot longterm?? I don’t think he is, too small, too inconsistent…..Bozak or potentially Colbourne could fill this role next year….and don’t forget we still have Connolly signed for next year as well…if we can find that elusive #1 center now or during the off season Grabo becomes expendable…its clear to me that we need to get bigger and tougher up front….love Grabo..but he can’t play that game..

    lol….real change is needed now!!!! not in the off season,,,,
    there is NO team chemistry as the leafs are not in a playoff spot…. i disagree with your assessment,,,,

    id rather grabs over connolly for the 2nd line centre spot….bozak should be 3rd line…we need a big centreman…

    Most of the chemistry on this Leafs team is between Lupul and Kessel….our entire second line has virtually no chemistry this year…MacA,Grabo and Kuli, what happened??

    yeah but who else is gonna play centre for the leafs? no star centres are avail ufa………so unless you make a deal for a centre before juky 1st, you risk losing grabs for nothing,,,
