Just a quick hit here; Darren Dreger reports from Insider Trading that the Leafs have received an offer for Mikhail Grabovski.

For those unable to see Insider Trading. Offer for Grabovski is for a 2nd rnd pick and prospect. Could get more. Still hope to re-sign him

Not much in terms of a return, but we obviously have no idea who the prospect is. Dreger also hinted that the deal could grow and the 2nd be upgraded to a first, for example.

Grabovski is set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1st. A negotiating tactic to release the news of the offer? Perhaps.

    Top paring, power play qb is more valued IMO then a shoot first second paring center … But its moot, as he’ll most likely be moved….

    Grabo stays. He’s part of the solution not the problem. Get rid of Connolly, Lombardi and Komisarek if you want cap space.

    Easier said then done… It’s so simple it’s not worth talking about. If his demands are high, he gets traded. If he’s reasonable he stays….

    Has nothing to do with his skill. He’ll never be the first line center we want so tough decisions need to be made.

    Grabo will sign for a reasonable amount (no more that 4.25 over 3 years).
    Also, if there is a market for Brett Lebda, Jason Blake and Matt Stajan there is a market for Komisarek, Lombardi and Connolly.

    He’s a qb top paring d man, I don’t care what you say or think. Just because phill wasn’t on our top line last year does that mean he wasn’t our best RW? Because gunner plays with dion doesn’t mean jml isn’t a top line d.

    So take your opinion on the matter and talk to grabo about it. Because he, just like myself, doesn’t give two shits about your opinion.
