We’re rolling over into our second thread for Trade Deadline updates. Here are some of the rumblings from earlier, and all new developments will show up here.

Last minute deal; Canucks send Hodgson to the Sabres for Zack Kassian. Biggest trade of the day.

3:00 – John Scott to the Rangers. Bruins get Greg Zanon. Leafs trade Dale Mitchell to the Ducks for D Mark Fraser.

2:55 – Brian Rolston and Mike Motteau traded to the Bruins from the Islanders. Paul Gaustad sent to the Predators. Rick Nash door appears to be closed.

2:40 – Kypreos reports that the Leafs are out of Nash talks, will not make last minute push. Rangers and Sharks still in.

2:30 – Brian Lee traded from the Senators to the Lightning for Matt Gilroy (from TSN)

2:20 – Oduya sent to the Hawks for a 2nd and 3rd. Dreger on Nash: “So much speculation on Nash. Player has not been asked to waive as of yet. 45 mins to deadline. Time crunch!”

2:10 – Some trades coming in rapidly now. San Jose has acquired Daniel Winnick + from Colorado for Mike Connolly and more, while the Canucks acquire Samuel Pahlsson for their Cup run.

1:38 – Keith Aulie traded to Tampa! Carter Ashton coming back (Source: @GMillerTSN). Looks like a great move by the Leafs

1:35 – Sportsnet reports that Bryan Allen has been told by the Hurricanes that he will not be dealt today.

1:22 – Nabokov mulling over a contract. Not expected to be moved regardless. Lebrun says Montoya is being shopped by the Islanders.

Pahlsson to Vancouver means Hodgson is going to sit through the playoffs I would think, pending injuries.

Pretty crappy return, isn’t it? Galiardi and McGinn have both underachieved so far, but are young and have potential. Connelly and the 7th almost even out.

That leaves Sgarbossa for Winnik, and Winnik’s a pretty good bottom 6 guy who reportedly had lots of interest. Sgarbossa doesn’t seem to cut it.

Nooo lol, can’t call him an untouchable already! I’d put him in a deal if it means getting Nash. Would you rather Gardiner in it or Ashton?

“Ashton will have an opportunity to win a roster spot with the Lightning (hahah Leafs now) in camp but will likely return to juniors for at least one more season. He is still developing in terms of skating, technical skills and offensive instincts but he has the desire, size and strength to be a successful power forward at the NHL level. He has the upside to be a top line player if he develops a complete offensive game.” – Hockeys Future………….I like all these things
