    Speaking of Lidstrom, more specifically older players in NHL.

    I was listening to Sabolsky and Company today and they were listing Burke’s Top Five mistakes since taking over.

    Of course there were the obvious things such as signing Komisarek, signing Connolly, even the Franson/Lombardi trade and the lack of a true #1 goaltender.

    But what was really interesting was him listing “giving up on Sundin” as the #1 mistake by Brian Burke!

    Someone said hes been dogging it in practice, I think they`re playing Komi cause he was on the self all year, and if you want to make space you got to play the guy.

    something is still fishy about it all tho. i really hope they can move Komi this summer i don’t hate the guy just don’t like him as a Leaf, never did

    why would we make deals only to give up the future for making the playoffs? better to hold onto what we have and compete for the cup than to mortgage it for making the playoffs and get ousted in 4 games. they did the right thing.

    they still needed to move out some players we have to many contracts for next year we need to make room for new players

    Unless we wanted to wave the White Flag at the trade deadline call up some of the Prospects and then put the blame on them when we didn’t make the playoffs. the right thing was done

    they will make room. just not yet. when the summer is here and we are at the draft we will make plenty of room and moves. patience is great.
