@rustynail Good for him, who in their right mind thought "build a new arena in a better location and THEN we'll sellout", they didn't sell out in the finals, every team, even crappy franchises sell out (Florida, Carolina etc.) in the finals.
@Burtonboy I'll say it again, everyone says it works out in the end, but not for the Leafs. Play the Leafs and you'll get the calls or non-calls to even it out. Who do we have? I'm not including the goalie interference goals, offside goals etc. etc. this year There we 2 huge blown calls last night, no if ands or buts. It's been bad for years, especially after the lockout, there aren't a lot of veteran refs now, but still doesn't explain the lopsidedness. Which of course leads back to 'you don't have to have the Leafs winning' the money is there no matter what, but you do need to save other teams.
@Burtonboy It gets better and better. Have to have the one of poster children of the lockout in the playoffs no matter what the cost, especially a recently bankrupt team that now has some money.
