The Leafs will be picking first, fifth or sixth in the draft depending on the lottery result tonight. Obviously, the likelihood is that we stay put at fifth (74.7%).There’s a 17.2% chance we fall further back to sixth.

Cross every limb and hope we can overcome 91.8% worth of odds. The lottery airs tonight at 8 p.m. on TSN.

Possibly. Some would say just pick the best guy period, and then you have more to trade with after.

Hey, doesn’t anyone have any idea just how often a team trades away the first overall pick? I couldn’t be that often.

Yes, Rick Dudley was hired on May, 11th 2002 and fired May, 24th 2004.

I don’t think anybody ask to ask why, haha.

An interesting stat, since the inception of the Toronto Maple Leafs franchise in 1917, the team has only had 13 different General Managers.

On the other hand, the Florida Panthers have already had 9 different General Managers since they joined the league in 1993!

    According to Wikipedia:

“The Florida Panthers trade the first pick (Marc-Andre Fleury) and 73rd pick (Daniel Carcillo) to the Pittsburgh Penguins for the third pick (Nathan Horton), the 55th pick (Stefan Meyer) and Mikael Samuelsson.”

Sorta ironic that Samuelsson is now playing for the team that originally drafted him.
