    i agree,,,,,i just like gaustad,,,

moen would be an ideal winger for the 3rd line,,,adding a prust would also help..it will be interresting to see how he restructures his lineup to a RC lineup.

stecks is the ideal 4th line centre,,,,if he moves up to the 3rd, its considered a weak lineup…..

…and I’ve watched him get into the rush with some of our faster forwards, at times this season….he’s by no means a speed demon but I don’t think he’s as slow as some think…..I think his size and awkward skating style make him appear slower than he actually is….just my opinion

I like Chris Kelly but I don’t he’s the right fit.

I’ve been saying for a while that Jarret Stoll would be the perfect 3rd line centre.

I also wouldnt mind taking a chance on Penner. I know most will disagree but we need a big body winger so badly, plus he had his best years with Carlyle on the Ducks. You know he’s going to come cheap so why not take a chance? I think it would be a great low risk – high reward move.

How about this as our 3rd line next year?

    Penner – Stoll – Kulemin

if colborne is going to be effective, then he needs to gain 20lbs to be JAGR esque.lol

army imo is done here,,,,,he cant stay healthy and he looks lost out there…

you are correct, he isnt as slow…but he is the perfect 4th liner……..he not a JASON ALLISON clone,,,,,,

i agree with you on stoll and penner,,,

penner i know some dont like, but he would be a big cheap winger. 1 yr deal
stoll brings us another centre with some size who is a perfect 3rd liner..

it’s weak unless you have a real top 6 bottom 6

    Lupul-Grabovski-Kessel
    Parise-Kadri/Colbourne-Nash
    Frattin-Steckel-Armstrong (back in top form)
    Brown-Gaustad-Prust

Bozak, Connolly, Stoll, Mac all plug in to some of those spots, no?

just keeping the familiar names in the conversation, wanted to have some fun (i’d have different names in there fyi)

I don’t blame you. He hasnt given anyone a reason to be a fan.

But like I said he has shown in the past he can be dominant and if he only costs like $2 million on a 1 year contact I think it would be worth the risk to see if Carlyle could turn him back into his old self.

lol. well I see Frattin playing with Grabo next year not on the 3rd line anyways.

Penner has been playing pretty well in the playoffs so far.

The reality is this is a guy wh ois 6’4 240 pounds. Guys like that don’t grow on tress and we certainly dont have anyone in our farm system ready to play like that. He wouldnt be a horrible option for 1-2 years.
