GDT: Toronto Marlies at OKC, 8 p.m. (LeafsTV)

It’s a meeting of two top AHL affiliates of a pair of young and rebuilding Canadian NHL franchises, both vying for a spot in the Calder Cup Final.

The Western Conference final between the AHL Western Conference’s top two teams in the Toronto Marlies and Oklahoma City Barons has little separating them on paper. A goaltending duel between Ben Scrivens and the more veteran Yann Danis could prove to be the pivotal matchup of the series. Both have top three stats among goaltenders in the AHL playoffs.

    While the whole team is playing great right now the one guy that’s really standing out to me is Frattin. He just looks a lot faster then everyone else and he has a really heavy shot even by NHL standards.

    Hard to imagine him not on Grabo’s wing to start the season next year.

    Kadri looks pretty nifty out there as well. He’s looking more and more confident, and that’s lethal with his creativity. Maybe him and Frattin would look good as future leaf tandem.
