It’s a meeting of two top AHL affiliates of a pair of young and rebuilding Canadian NHL franchises, both vying for a spot in the Calder Cup Final.

The Western Conference final between the AHL Western Conference’s top two teams in the Toronto Marlies and Oklahoma City Barons has little separating them on paper. A goaltending duel between Ben Scrivens and the more veteran Yann Danis could prove to be the pivotal matchup of the series. Both have top three stats among goaltenders in the AHL playoffs.

    Danis had the second best stats (next to Scrivens) during the regular season with a 2.07 GAA 9.24 SV% so getting 5 goals here is no easy task.

    Impressive showing for sure. Points are kinda cool with so many coming from the young guys. Holtzer -1, Mueller – 2, Dupuis – 2, Kadri -2, Deschamps – 2, Gardiner -1, Colborn -1, Frattin -1, Damigo -1. So no points from the older guys.

    I only saw the last 10 minutes of the game. I’m watching the replay on Leafs TV now. The only thing I can say for sure is that he finished the game +1 with no goals, assists or points and 1 shot on goal. Stats from the game sheet I posted above.
