That’s the thing… he said himself that there needs to be an upgrade in net… then he just goes with the same two that he said weren’t good enough? I just don’t see that working out

I don’t know about anyone else, but I got the sense from Burke in that video above that stuff is really slow. I know it’ll pick up at the draft but my confidence just really isn’t there. I’ve pumped myself up the last few drafts only for it to be for not.

I mean I thought for sure Burke would do something the year they drafted Seguin with that pick, just to take some heat off, but he didn’t

I agree completely on the fact the forwards were actually a big part of our goals against, and often put way too much pressure on the D and goalies. Reims may have, in fact continued to play well if he wasn’t injured, but the fact remains he never regained his form. A legit #1 would get us nearer a playoff spot, and allow Reimer / Scrivens to develop.

I love Burke but this is the same guy who boldly stated he was going after Tavares. He has stated in the past that July 1st is ‘our draft’ before and did squat to make the team better.

I like the way he talks, but sometimes that’s all it is.

problem is he also knows BB needs to fix his goalie situation…. so its a contest now to see who flinches first.

He can’t afford not to move Luongo, he just can’t. Schneider wants to start, so does Luongo. He’ll open up a lot of cap and if he doesn’t move Luongo, he’ll have 2 pissed off goaltenders methinks.

Willing to bet Gillis would like to strangle Schneider right now for going public about demanding to be number 1 next year.

Burke is a talker. He loves the attention and he loves to talk a big game. If he even delivered on half of what he’s said, I wouldn’t have a beef. And I can’t state this enough, I’m a fan of Burke. I just think he talks too much sometimes.
