Mats Sundin inducted into Hockey Hall of Fame

The franchise’s all-time goals and points leader is a first ballot Hall of Fame inductee. Congrats Mats.

A model of consistency and clutch play for his 13 seasons in a Leaf jersey (11 spent as Captain) – breaking the major franchise records along the way – Sundin’s importance was also substantial in the European hockey community as the first ever European to be drafted first overall. At the time of his retirement, he was the longest serving non-North American captain in NHL history. He was the first Swede to join the 500-goal and 1000-point clubs and captained his national team to an Olympic gold medal in 2006.

    I fear we will miss schenn and Aulie before we love JVR.

    If BB’s next 2 weeks are unsuccessful…..its gonna be a long year.

    I would rather just keep komisarek at 4.5 and his hits then Bouwmeester at 6.8 i think. But he would probably fit well with Phaneuf. Anyone know if they played together in Calgary?

    oh well it might be him though. I seem to rememeber kessel and meuller either being friends or hating eachtother. cant remember

    It would be crazy to get morrow. they obviously got rid of riberio for money reasons so taking connolly for one year at basicly the same price would not make sense unless we take something back. I dont know if they would part with Morrow but i would certainly be interested

    Are you sure? Have to assume that would be all over the twitterverse and web, not to mention TSN, Sportsent, The Score, etc. yet I haven’t seen any mention of it anywhere.
