The Marlies bounced back as well as you could have hoped last night against Hamilton with a 5-0 win. An early goal for Greg McKegg, evidence good things can happen in the offensive zone after the Marlies pumped 84 shots and only mustered one goal the last two games, seemed to be the necessary positive bounce to get the team settled and clicking again. From there, two players patiently awaiting game action in Jussi Rynnas and Kenny Ryan headlined the show in their season debuts with the former playing his way to a shutout and the latter potting two goals. Nicolas Deschamps and Mike Kostka rounded out the scoring.

The Marlies play their third game in under 72 hours this afternoon at 3 p.m. against the Grand Rapids Griffins. The Griffins are 1-4 this season but do have the benefit of a night’s rest between today and their last game. You can catch the game on Leafs TV.

    It would take a genius to put all the pieces together.  Especially when you destroy or get rid of all the evidence.  I mean we have cold cases here where the evidence is held indefinitely.  I wish there was a way for someone independent to comb the rubble that was taken away from ground zero.  It would answer so many questions.  But that can never happen.  They for some strange reason just never kept any of it around.  Go figure eh?  The biggest crime ever committed on US soil and the evidence exists no more.

    ya there is alot of red tape surrounding that day in history….its sad to think that something so horrible could ever happen, and to this date we still dont know why. I come from a media background and have studied the US democratic system in relation to the mass media. The founding fathers would be spinning in their graves if they saw what their “democratic” system has turned into. The media, a very important cog of an effective democracy, is failing its people. Its supposed to exist to provide the unbias facts concerning major issues so that the populous can produce an informed opinion from which to act on. Democracy only functions if the people are in tune with the issues that concern them. We elect people to work for us, not above us, and with our best interests in mind. The general population, due to the influence of media (personal bias, programming etc) is less informed about the greater world in this day in age then ever before. Entire generations of children grow up with a large disconnect to politics and the larger picture, this is no more evident then in record low voter turnouts. Instead of empowering the populos with knowledge, what we now have is a media system that is bias in its representation of reality, warping the opinions of the masses as the elite see fit.

    Completely agree with you.  You need to dig for the truth yourself.  There is two sides to every story.  You are not getting anything but BS if you tune into a major news conglomerate.  We all know this to be true just from the TO MSM’s attitude towards the Leafs.
    I actually agree with a lot of  Ahmnadinejad’s points of view and have little fear in him.  He’s quite the intellect and is far less of a mad man than Romney IMO.

    imo Harper is too politically smart to just directly scrap things that are important to some voters. Instead he puts policy in place that will eventually bring about the downfall of institutions he doesn’t like.

    Harper is incredibly smart.  I’ll give him that.  And he knows politics better than anyone else in Ottawa.  He is the greatest party leader this country has ever seen.  It’s just too bad he had to be a conservative.  Too bad he wouldn’t jump the fence and run for Liberal leader.  I’m sure he could make the economy work and still keep Canada’s peaceful and compassionate image strong around the world.

    It’s not like they don’t have the time to break things down and use due process to decide things.  They instead push through the bill with all it’s hidden ramifications and go back to drama class 101 for another 8 weeks.

    Ummm…sorry, can’t agree with a lot of this…especially complete privatization of health care. If history has taught us anything, privatization requires profits.  Once profits are involved, prices skyrocket.  It is a simple truth.  Once privatization and profits are involved, any form of regulation and accountability tends to fall by the wayside.

    Would you prefer a Monsanto clone in charge of our health care system?
