The Toronto Marlies (2-2-1) play, guess who, the Hamilton Bulldogs (2-2-0) again tonight in their third of 12 meetings this season after splitting their back to back with the Habs’ affiliate last weekend.

Ben Scrivens is back between the pipes after Jussi Rynnas took over for two consecutive last Saturday and Sunday. On the blueline, Paul Ranger returns from injury, while Jesse Blacker and Korbinian Holzer are questionable due to a flu bug. Up front, Jerry D’Amigo returns to the lineup and will play in the place of Greg Scott.

Lines:

Deschamps – Aucoin – McKegg
Ashton – Colborne – Komarov
Hamilton – Kadri – Zigomanis
D’Amigo – Acton – Ryan

    “Who were you impressed by?”

Colborne is starting to impress me.  I am liking his 2 way game +4 now

Well, as you can see, I wasn’t impressed with the play of Kadri at all.

I thought Komarov looked great and he should make a very formidable fourth line with Brown and Steckel (but hopefully McClement)

Ashton used his size and skated with a purpose out there, driving the net and skaiting his ass off all the time.

Colborne seems to have some potential, but I believe he is still trying to find his game after being injured for the majority of last season.

Aucoin has some major skill, but it seems like his size is holding him back from being a productive NHLer.

The kids, McKegg and Ryan, played a sold game, as did Fraser, who I think along with Kostka, deserves some consideration for a spot with the Leafs when the season starts.

P.S.  If you get the chance to get out to an AHL game, I’d highly reccomend it!!
Great hockey and the night cost me well under $100 including the ticket, gas, beer and a snack.

I actually thought all the defencemen played a very solid game.

I love how Fraser plays the game and sticks up for his teammates.
Jake is Jake and like I said, I think Kostka should be given a shot with the Leafs.
Gysbers, Ranger and Yeo weren’t very noticable out there, but I think with the type of game they play, not being noticed is a good thing.

JVR: Scrivens looks very poor/uncertain with his stick handling. One real bad escape in the First and then he brain farted on their first goal if memory serves me right. Am I imagining things?
