Man those Marlies suck ass so far this year.  Their only scoring forward is an old guy who will never play in the NHL and every other forward has under achieved.  Losers…looks like our future is well in hand.

Its awesome to see Rielly is leading the WHL for points amongst defenceman (Myles Bell is apparently actually a forward this year and they haven’t switched him over on the WHL website).

Best part about it is that he is outscoring players like Ryan Pulock who is expected to be picked high in this years upcoming draft. Despite the draft year, they are only a few months apart, and it is easy to argue that Pulock, despite being younger has actually had more development by playing a full year last year. Rielly is an offensive stud. He may not stay at the top in point production, but I wouidn’t be surprised if he is near the top for most of the season.

Naw the deal is close to being done.

In ’94 the deal got done In Feb. and they played a 50 game season. It’s early.

The thing is though, I get the sense this time that the general level of apathy towards the NHL and this situation is at much higher levels than in ’94. They need to get this done sooner than later.
