With no negotiations taking place in the past week-plus and a $250,000 payment due to the University of Michigan Friday, the Winter Classic officially got the axe today.

For me, the Winter Classic was spoiled the moment it became apparent the two sides were willing to cancel games and use the fans as a pawn in their greedy game. Say the season came back in time to save the Classic – would it have felt right jumping right back on board and supporting the league in its biggest event of the regular season?

    i dunno, supposedly the league has offered to pay in part, or full, players current contracts, under normal circumstance that should be a concession big enough to get this new CBA signed, but we all know the idiots at the helm will probably get all pissy and screw it up

    Yup, he hasn’t been as noticable in the third period, but he was playing pretty damn good in the first two periods!

    Had a few quality shots, while putting alot of shots on net and was battling infront of the net and in the corners.

    Also, I’m not so sure he didn’t get a piece of Jenner’s shot that went in on the PP.

    What wrong with that?  The NHLPA and NHL haven’t met (in person) since the NHL turned down the three counter offers proposed by the NHLPA.

    Also, why is it Steve Fehr and Bill Daly that are always reported to be talking on the phone and now meetting at an undisclosed location>

    When the fuck are Donald Fehr and Gary Bettman going to talk?
