Ive watched bits and pieces of the last 4 games . To me the 2 standouts so far are NathaN McKinnon and Rielly.

He’s not small at all.  He’s over 200 pounds, and never looks small.  The problem is, we have a ton of left side defenders.  Need to trade up and grab another quality right side guy.

last of the 3 offers last week had players offerin  50 50 in 3 years first of the offers were non linked with somethin like u said per year raises, so u think they reverted back to the non linked, maybe a neg tactic, but fact is players have said they will go to 50 in 3

So long as they get paid for an 82 game season this year and the NHL expands their ‘make whole’ provision to something like 600 million (essentially de-linking the system for those that signed deals into this CBA).

So what was the 1.75 % per yr escalator that Fehr was talking about on Friday if its not a raise .

Yea, they’re a big team, for sure.  Rielly is bigger than Crosby though (and tons of other top talents), so I don’t think it’s really fair to call him small, is all.

Ummm… what? Gardiner was much better in the second half of the season. And Gardiner came from the WCHA. They only play 41 games a season. The WHL season is 72 games long. Plus, he gets these two games.

I think Rielly is ready offensively, but will he be able to move NHLers out of the crease.  I agree with Mcloki.  It may be better for him and the team to let him develop.

HockeyDB has Rielly listed as 6’0”, 205lbs. That seems heavy, but it’s a good kind of heavy. Muscle, not fat. I saw him in person at a CFL game a month or two ago.

And he had a bit of a spell where he looked tired. I just think it takes a while to adjust. I know it may get me banned. But let’s all have a little patience.

Again IF there is a season, and IF he has a good camp, he can stay for 9 games anyway give him a little taste. If he needs to go back no problem, but dude how could you not be excited?

The NHLPA’s latest proposal to the league was to take last season’s $1.883B and step it up annually with a compounding rate of 1.75 per cent. In other words, in Year 1 of the players’ proposal, the players are seeking a guarantee of $1.916B or about $33 million more than what the league is prepared to pay.

Any chance this Jays trade doesn’t go through??  Why does it take this long for approval?  Hockey trades don’t take this long.
