The 9-6-0-1 Marlies (5th in the Western Conference) are in Wilkes Barre tonight to play the Penguins (7 p.m., AHL Live) before heading to Hershey for a 5 p.m. puck drop tomorrow.

From Clayton Hansler:

Ben Scrivens is to get the nod in goal marking the netminder’s fifth straight start. Other lineup changes could see Korbinian Holzer and Greg McKegg draw out of the lineup as Simon Gysbers and Kenny Ryan are rotated in.

I would not bet on revenues in the states for one freakin minute . That whole economy could freakin implode at any time if they don’t get their shit together . No way the owners agree to guaranteed dollars

Glad Scrivens came out that time.  Saved a good chance for sure.

Yeah, I’m watching the Marlies,  MLHS and the game between the Wolves and the Ice Dogs.  Wolves are up 4 – 1 after 2, but Leivo is a minus 1 and I’m watching to see if he returns for the 3rd period.

You may be right, but Year 1 will be the worst. Then they’ll all start coming back…they always do.

Don’t tell me you’re buying into this “fiscal cliff” nonsense?

I’d say a lot of guys won’t be too sharp. Still only 200 guys playing overseas

He’s been solid when called on.   I’ve missed lots of the game though by keeping my eye on both games.   Ryan Hamilton is not having a good game tonight.   Seems he struggles whenever I watch him.

Not entirely no . But the yanks have been yrs trying to straighten out a lot of nonsense and never seem to be able too. The yanks owe an enormous amount of money and unless they raise taxes and cut the mulitary its only a matter of time before the bill collectors come calling

I’d agree. Zigo had one good shot. Aucoin has been slow for me. Not happy that they are shooting low probability shots, with little in front of net. However, they are shooting.

He always seemed like a guy who could become a third pairing guy. I think he can still become that, but he needs some work until he is there.

I would have to say Lups for me…love how he defended his team in turdville at the allstar game, tugging on his crest and playing a super game in front of the turd fans…plus his intensity everynight…

How old is Blacker? 22 ? Wouldn’t be all that strange for him to take another yr or 2 to develop. A lot d men are 23 -24 before becoming full-time NHLer’s

The funny thing is the Flyers fans thought this game proved their team was better than the Habs, since they creamed the Russians, whereas the Habs only tied them on New Years Eve. That years playoffs proved them wrong.

You see, what they didn`t realize is the Habs decided to play an honourable game against the Russians on New Years Eve. Instead of trying to break their ankles (I`m looking at you Bobby Clarke) and get the win by default, the Habs decided to skate with them instead, and even though the game ended in a tie, the Russians knew they were soundly outplayed by a team that was playing their game, and their goalie saved their bacon.
