The Marlies ride a three game winning streak into a weekend set of home games against Rochester tonight (7 p.m., Sportsnet) and the league leading Abbotsford Heat Sunday afternoon (3 p.m., Leafs TV). Declan Kerin will be covering the Abbotsford game and has picked out one of his favorite teddy bears from his bedside collection for the toss tomorrow (if you’re going, don’t forget! Beyond the charity, which is reason enough, you get a free pair of tickets to the Dec. 30 match against Rochester if you bring a stuffed animal).

    I said I would have Kadri start with the Leafs. That was contingent on an unknown Komarov starting in the A. Now that we’ve seen him, it looks like Burke will need to make a move fairly quick if there is a season.

    If there’s one good thing about the lockout, the collapse earlier this year feels like it happened ages ago, so hopefully the boys learned some lessons from it but it won’t be in the back of their minds when the league gets going again.

    Ya I see komarov making the team as well, gonna have to move some bodies to bring up the young guns. Good news that komarov is playing with ovi and backs from back in Russia, the guy has some finish and a whole lot of grit..
