I think he is gonna be excellent.

 Just goes to show how sick the USA is.  Ive always known their society is decrepid at its core mostly because they could care less about the poor as a society, treasure their guns and put selfish rights ahead of society.  Result: 20 dead kids in a school now and then.

 And it is very accurate Rusty.  Sure there are very many individual americans who are phenomenal, but I am speaking of their societal norms not the individuals.  Even this hockey lockout is being negotiated by two American typicals.  Both big ego, selfish, greed minded men who really underneath everything put themselves and greed above the fans.  No matter what they say. 

I go to the states very very often and most of the time I forget which side of the border I am on.

 Until you drive into the inner city of ANY of their larger cities.

In one of the early reports on CNN, the reporter was talking to someone about the vice-principal crawling back into the room after being shot. The reporter immediately asked, can you describe what the vice-principal looked like as he crawled into the room?

They, like many people these days, are completely detached from reality and only think first and foremost about what advances their needs most.

We as Canadian’s tend to value social wellfair rather highly and this is apparent in the programs we offer and the types of laws we put into effect. This has a direct effect on the quality of life in Canada and props up the population in a way that reduces crime, reduces poverty, and seems to create a better society. Not to say that we dont have our issues, but we have a pretty damn good system in place as a safety net for anyone who needs it.

The NHL has filed a class action complaint in Federal Court in New York seeking a declaration confirming the legality of the lockout.

It means war.

NEW YORK (December 14, 2012) — Today, in response to information
indicating that NHL Players have or will be asked to vote to authorize the
National Hockey League Players’ Association’s Executive Board to proceed to
“disclaim interest” in continuing to represent the Players in collective
bargaining, the National Hockey League filed a Class Action Complaint in
Federal Court in New York seeking a Declaration confirming the ongoing
legality of the lockout.

Simultaneously with the filing of its Complaint, the NHL also filed
an Unfair Labor Practice Charge with the National Labor Relations Board
alleging that by threatening to “disclaim interest,” the NHLPA has engaged
in an unlawful subversion of the collective bargaining process and conduct
that constitutes bad faith bargaining under the National Labor Relations
Act.

I really really hope the NHLPA and the NHL are no longer around as of next year (or sooner).
