TSN Radio 1050 is your best bet for tonight’s game in Rochester and tomorrow’s against Grand Rapids at the Ricoh. The baby Buds enter the weekend at 13-9-1, good for seventh in the West. Go Marlies.
Very happy to see the passion being built on the marlies, we got some solid pieces graduating pro in a bit too
and some young kids coming up to replace them, imagine that. lol
Its finally being done right!
Marlies pp has looked very effective, they whip that puck around like nothing
Carlyle’s coaching record against the passionless Leafs. 2W – 4L. lol
Shut up Randy and just coach.
I love you for shit like that bob, just the facts lol
Isn’t trying to motivate your players part of coaching?
Looking at the boxscore, it doesn’t appear Kadri had a very good game. 1 goal PP 1 asst. PP and even in the +/- department. I watched the game on Leafs TV at 6:00 and thought he was the best player on the team. He brought every thing and left it on the ice tonight. Good for him.
Probably the fact that Ashton is wearing #18 but from time to time when I see him skating around out there I have flashbacks of Kent Manderville…Not saying that’s a good thing.
#18 brings me to
Jim McKenny every time. lol

Here’s a comment from a regular here on the game day thread the last time we played Carlyle’s Ducks.
(in reference to Anaheim)
“Team is lacking an organ, need a heart transplant” lol
He’s already writing checks he can’t cash. Don’t people realize that Wilson and every other coach have all said the same nonsense? Randy can ask his players to play with all the passion he wants. At the end of the day, if the team starts losing, the fans and media will invent character flaws and turn that whole speech right around on him to make him look stupid. This will become RC’s version of ‘truculence’.
lol Yeah, I see that. That’s why I’m saying “just coach Randy”.
You know what is even more amusing about the Anaheim/Toronto comparison – is that their roster has literally everything that our fans believe we need to be successful, and yet we’ve produced roughly the exact same results the last few years. RC had the 1C, the big, gritty top six guys (Ryan, Perry), and definitive starting goalie…
More to team building and winning games than meets the eye, I think.
Bozak for example, not a #1, but centered on the best scoring lines in the league.
stronger division out west.
Not really. Same number of weak teams. I’d rather play Edmonton and Columbus than Montreal or the Islanders.
i dont have stats avail, but id like to see our record against western conference teams.
1 game vs. each Western team, except 2 vs. Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.
Our record was surprisingly strong against Western Conference teams compared to other Eastern teams, but typically the West does best the East. I’m just saying, the margin isn’t so massive that you can just toss out comparisons.
yup, i admit i was wrong.. surprised though
In Canada, we spell it “defence”, eh.
lol…im tired and on my ipod………..sorry DWC
Just buggin’ ya, lol.
