This week, the Leafs take on a run opponents projected to be battling with them on the edge of the Eastern Conference playoff picture. They look to start picking up points in these winnable games tonight against the Staal brothers and the struggling Carolina Hurricanes.

Clarke MacArthur will return to the lineup and will start on the fourth line. Carlyle did not want to drop McClement off the Grabovski line after he’s meshed nicely there, while the Kadri line has been consistently effective with Komarov on that wing. If the Kessel drought continues, getting him someone who can create and play the game at his level from a skill standpoint might necessitate a shakeup.

Korbinian Holzer was recalled in wake of the unfortunate news that Gunnarsson needs some time off with a groin injury that’s been hampering him since his time overseas in Sweden during the lockout.

    Dangle:  We are in therapy. Wives won’t understand. WW sets the baseline for sanity and off we go. Must admit, tonight has been quite tame. Me, I’m good, I missed most of the game. Tuned in just as Franson messed up clearing the puck and the canes scored #4. Just laughed. But on a serious note, I am pissed about Phil still not scoring. Give him Naz and Leo, or Grabs or do something. This must be more crushing for him than the fans.

    I know RC likely doesn’t want to break up Kadri and Frattin or Grabo and Kulemin but he NEEDS to get Kessel going/scoring. It’s time to try throwing some shit at the wall and see what sticks…

    Not much to explain, four pros watching the puck, lose the puck battle, all while leaving Jordan Staal unattended out front. Tie game….even Reimer seems to notice the problem.

    Really??  Doorman said you were plonking everyone out of spite for that one posting you made and got 15 or so dislikes.  Sorry man, my bad.  Personally, I think the dislikes are kinda funny in a sense…but I always hand out a ton of likes.  Lets people know they made me laugh or that I agreed with whatever they posted.  Keeps the ball rolling.

    Yeah , but it was a 2-1 game with over 20 minutes to play. Instead of going into the 3rd pissed of and ready to come out flying, the top pair D gets caught on a 2-1 and take a penalty, and voila they start the 3rd 2 men down.

    BTW, I agree , Bozaks goal should of counted.

     People are sick of Leafs losing with kids….Bell/Rogers want Leafs to have big names, such as Stamkos, Perry and if it takes losing 5 1st round picks, so be it…

    Phil is doing all the little things he needs to get goals…its definitly not for lack of trying and I can accept that. If lupul was around I dont doubt for a second that hed have a fist full of goals by now. I havent seen a player be in such a great spot to pot a goal night in and night out, hes got a nose for goal scoring better then most in the league.
