Not a bad day to be snowed in, with a full lineup of all-Canadian hockey on television. Peterborough is hosting Hockey Day and I may brave the conditions to check out the scene on the Trent Canal.

The road warrior Toronto Maple Leafs (5-1 away) look to replicate their success in the season opener at the Bell Centre tonight. The Leafs should expect a stiffer test as the Habs have gone 6-2-1 since looking awful in that opener and are no longer sans Subban. The two teams are a point apart sitting sixth and seventh in the Eastern Conference standings.

    I agree with this…just doesn’t work unless with JVR and someone else. Him and Kessel spell disaster, 2 completely different styles that don’t mesh.

    No man I am saying a team needs to be bulit on a mix look at EDM they have all these young superstars but if they do nothing to insulated them like those teams did nothing to insulate their young high draft picks it will get you no where

    yes hated them because of how they were cast on a team at a specific time. They did not put the teams together they never said they were the second coming of orr.

    Leafs should trade Kessel for Corey Perry. Leafs get a great Ontario born winger and the ducks don’t loose him for nothing. Then Getz signs as free agent. Kessel goes to quiet hockey market and plays well for the ducks.
