Dave Nonis and Tim Leiweke addressed the season seat holders and fans at the ACC in their “Leafs Nation Season Preview” event.
Does anyone know when Voracek and Callahan will be back? I have them in my fantasy league and wondering if I should trade them?
I think Liles will be sent to the Marlies. As much as I like the guy, I can't see him staying with the big club. He's barely played in the pre-season to try and earn a spot and when he has he's meh at best.
Messier goes all Kessel on Robinson.
Just got done drafting my work keeper league and was wondering what you guys think:
LW: Neal (K) and Ladd
C: Tavares (K), Backstrom and Kesler
RW: Kessel (K), Voracek and Callahan
D: Phaneuf (K), Byfuglien (K), Enstrom, Gardiner and Muzzin
G: Rinne (K), Bernier, Reimer and Halak
Fuck you guys!! I'd put Bernier / Reimer at the top of my list. Without goaltending, we are absolutely no where.
Did anyone else hear someone yell "Then why are you paying him like that?" when Nonis said he didn't bring Clarkson in as a 30 goal scorer. lol
We need more leaders in sport like this coach...

Here are my top 5, fuck TSN.
Wow Grabo looking great in his two games with the Caps so far. 5 assists, three of which were primary and playing with his usual energy on the ice
Great deal for leafs for this year. He' could be worth triple next year and getting himself to an UFA was a smart play on his behalf. Of course....the flip side is is the young D on the Marlies are developing fast and Rielly and Garndner are still looking like the future I'd say look for the leafs to trade either Phanuf or Franson near the deadline this season. JMHO but I'm saying it's Dion.
@leafsince93 hope so!
@GreekGod I'd wager Liles to be partnered with a prospect and traded for a draft pick that way we dump salary and get none in return. Liles still has plenty to offer its just who's needs at this moment.
@Loric76 nighty night
@.JVR. Looks solid, like the taveras Kessel combo.
I am drafting 1st overall..who you take Crosby or Stamkos?
@TuckerForPunishment Relax TFP, lets let the season happen ;) . Grabovski at 5.5 was just retarded theres really not much more that can be said.
Where's the 5th?
@Komas Taberle Great band
Yea, but it's pre season. I remember Stalberg scoring 8 goals in the pre season once...
@Nikhil Daljeet Grabo is going to have a kick ass season, guaranteed. He is a perfect fit for Washington.
Not really sure who the winner is here and I think the best decision is too trade him. His value is SUPER high and if a team can sign him to a 2yr contract then they will have him at an amazing price.
Honestly, I have no idea what the Leafs are going to do with Liles. With Gardiner, Franson and Ranger set for a pay bump + Raymond (lets be honest he is prob going to have an amazing season) + everyone else who contract ends, we cannot have a $3.8m caphit sitting in the press box.
Trade him (Franson) now while we can get a 1st rnd + a decent prospect.
Depends what style of pool it is.
If it's H2H, I'd probably take Crosby, as he's likely to get more assists and points than Stamkos, with a better +/-.
If it's a Points Pool and Goals are worth more than Assists, take Stamkos.
Go with Sid
Grabo topped out with 57 pts on a season that had his linemates shooting at unreasonably high shooting percentages (AKA: Lucky). He's a selfish player with poor playing making ability and bad shot/pass selection.
He was completely useless in the playoffs when the intensity/physicality ramped up. He was physically dominated and was lying on the ice yelling at the ref more than he was contributing to the team anything worthwhile.
He worked hard and gets a lot of respect from me for that, but he's not as good as people are making him out to be. The Grabo fanboys on twitter are upset because he's a fancystat wet dream; it doesn't make him a good player because he has a high Corsi rating.
Also, he's 30 years old and won't be turning into a 60 pts center anytime soon.
Meh, we'd still have Bozak over Grabovski then
I would have rather have let Bozak walk and use the 2nd compiance buyout on Liles instead of Grabovski.
Grabovski ($5.4 million) + Franson ($3.0 million) = $8.4 million
Bozak ($4.2 million) + Liles ($3.875 million) = $8.075 million
I know what two I'd rather have
It might only be preseason, but Grabovski's 3 assists look pretty good tonight.
@Loric76 @Savo43 @TuckerForPunishment Yeah i'm curious as to which team out there would've offered Bozak 4+? But eh, lets see if he can show us something during the season. Preseason doesnt mean much for a guy like him, fresh off a deal, already on the team, im sure he's just working on timing, and rhythm and so fourth. He'll get better with reps.
