2014 Winter Classic

The 2014 NHL Winter Classic was a regular season National Hockey League outdoor game, played on January 1, 2014. It was the sixth Winter Classic and featured the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Detroit Red Wings at Michigan Stadium (The Big House) at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The game was be televised on NBC and CBC. The game was originally planned to be played on January 1, 2013, as the 2013 NHL Winter Classic, but was postponed due to the 2012–13 NHL lockout. The attendance marked the game as the largest of all time. The recorded attendance was 105, 491. The Toronto Maple Leafs won the game 3-2 in a shootout. Tyler Bozak scored the winning goal.
