GO LEAFS GO.
Van Riemsdyk – Bozak – Kessel
Lupul – Kadri – Kulemin
Raymond – Holland – Bodie
Ashton – McClement – Orr
Gunnarsson – Phaneuf
Gleason – Franson
Gardiner – Rielly
Fleischmann – Bjustad – Upshall
Bergenheim – Gomez – Boyes
Huberdeau – Goc – Winchester
Kopecky – Shore – Barch
Campbell – Gilbert
Olsen – Jovanovski
Kulikov – Weaver
I don't get the Raymond hate on here. So far he's been doing better than Clarkson. Mr. 5.25 mil is not shaping up to be what i expected this yr. Raymond at 1 mil is a far better investment right now.
Lineup I'd like to see when we are healthy:
JVR - Bozak - Kessel
Lupul - Kadri - Kulemin
Holland - Bolland - Clarkson
Raymond - McClement - Bodie
Lineup RC will probably use:
JVR - Bozak - kessel
Lupul - Kadri - Kulemin
Raymond - Bolland - Clarkson
Ashton - McClement - Bodie
Randy seems to like to drive everyone crazy with Roster decisions the 1st half of the season, than begin to settle into obvious roster moves in the 2nd half.
Good nite folks
The Great 8 led his team to another loss. Ovies put down of Kessel was classless. Karmas a bitch ovie
Reilly makes backhand passes are smooth. To play against him, you have to check for your wallet now and then.
Scoring by roster position in the forward group:
22 - 10 - 27
16 - 14 - 08
14 - 11* - 03
02 - 02 - 00
*Bolland + Holland
Pretty obvious where upgrades are required. Clarkson needs to be better, Kulemin needs to stay in a scoring role, and the 4th line needs to provide more than 4-6 goals per year.
The ROW's adding up are nice. We were top 3(?) in that respect last year, hopefully the majority of that pile are still on its way, and we keep doing our thing. Great comeback tonight :).
Chicago won the Cup last year because of their mobile defence. Randys comments about Gardiner and Rielly racing up the ice should be considered a compliment in todays NHL
We talked a lot about the importance of drafting on today's show. 2 guys that stood out tonight? Kadri and Rielly. Leafs need more of that.
Game over, Empty netter, after the Barrons keep the puck alive on what the OKC announcers say should have been an icing call.
But actually, compare this to Chicago:
17 - 18 - 25
28 - 14 - 23
07 - 05 - 07
06 - 07 - 04
Their second line out-produces ours easily, but even with Clarkson being shit, we've got better scoring depth on line 3 so far. However, their 4th line and extras have combined for 15 more goals than ours - which is significant.
@Cameron19 I'd rather upgrade our d right now than anything else to be honest. Here's hoping Clarkson bounces back after his injury. We need him big time.
@wiski Watch out Boston and Pittsburgh!
@TheCanucksnaphook how bout that secondary scoring?!?!
@Jay31 Gord Stellick had a good article on how Burke built this team through trades. Kadri and Rielly will be huge going forward, but Burke really did a masterful job with his wheeling and dealing
Well, it shows how if you end up in the bottom eight in the league you're rewarded with good players. I don't know if that means 'good drafting.' I think the team trainer could make decent picks in that range.
@Jay31 Our first rounder we traded for Kessel seems to be working for us as well. I would trade our first rounder this year again if it helps us long and short term.
@DeclanK That's pretty cool
RC said he was impressed with Bodie. Orr has been completely useless. I think we may finally see him come out of the lineup.....but then again....
@Cameron19 What i don't get is how they lost 4 in a row?
@Xxxxxnew Wasn't drafting Rielly seen as a surprise to everyone. I don't think he was predicted to go that high because of his injured season

@deedrag @Cameron19 They can be just like us defensively. Keith can be downright awful in his own zone some nights, and the forwards can get carried away with themselves when they score too easily for too long. However, they have better depth up front and on the back, so they always turn it around quick.
@TheCanucksnaphook Montreal won again though, booooo
