Good game day, Leafs fans! After a day off to bask in the glory of beating Tampa Bay Tuesday night, the Leafs are back in action this evening as they host the Florida Panthers. Looking at the bottom 3 teams in the East: the Leafs already lost to these Panthers in December, they’re 1-1 against the Islanders, and the Sabres took six points out of five meetings with the Leafs. There has been no such thing as an easy out for the Leafs this season and as such there should be no reason to take this Panther team lightly. While they most recently got smacked by the Bruins 6-2, the Panthers also put up five goals each in two wins over Detroit and Pittsburgh in the past ten days.
Some Leafs links:
- The Leafs somehow manage to keep banking points
- Kessel a bit nervous about Sochi
- Bernier settling into No. 1 job
- Another Bernier is No. 1 story
- Troy Bodie more than boss’ son in law
- Tbe new .500

NHL Conditioning Assignment Rules
13.8 Conditioning Loan. Unless a Player consents, he shall not be Loaned on a Conditioning Loan to a minor league club. Such Conditioning Loan shall not extend for more than fourteen (14) consecutive days. The Commissioner may take whatever steps he deems necessary to investigate the circumstances under which a Player is Loaned on a Conditioning Loan. If the Commissioner has reason to believe or determines that the Club has used the Conditioning Loan to evade the Re-Entry Waivers, or otherwise Circumvent any provision of this Agreement, he may take such disciplinary action against the Club, as he deems appropriate. The Player shall continue, during the period of such Conditioning Loan, to receive the same Paragraph 1 NHL Salary, and be entitled to the same benefits, that he would have received had he continued to play with the Club.
Other teams send their returning injured players on rehab assignments, to get back to NHL level, to bad our GM didn't
I'm not sure I'd feel like getting on a bus to Utica, Hershey and Albany for 15 minutes of ice time if I could be back practicing with my teammates.
@wiski The stomach wants but the heart says no.
hahaha...hot yoga!!! lol
I vape Ritalin and piss Napalm :)
(to quote Bon and Gunny haha)
Id like to see one D Man trade that brings in a mobile defensive oriented responsible D Man. He doesnt have to have much offensive upside and he doesnt have to be a monster, just solid and consistent.
Agree. Really surprised by him. Knew he was valued by his other teams but didn't know how smart he is.
@peterbleafs Wait till next year, you are describing Percy :)
@peterbleafs I want Tyler Myers from Buffalo. Think he'd be perfect in Franson's spot in the second unit.
Keon is currently gnawing through duct tape while comfortably riding in Jordan's trunk :)
How you doing Bingo Gigolo?
I really have faith in Nonis, It's now clear he has been trying to get Different players for our team for a long time now. He's showing he has the best trait needed to be a GM, PATIENCE!
game day, better not SHIT the bed vs the cats again...out Effing work, out effing hustle, out effing played...if u don't wanna play for the jersey play for the guy next to ya...lol..seems so long ago
I'm the same. His suspension, plus adjustment time then an elbow operation have skewed everything for Clarkson this season.
