So who stays and who goes? and why?

By Scot Loucks | Sep 26, 2009

There is certainly a diversity of opinion this year in terms of who should stay and who should go … at a level never seen before during my 45 years of training camps. That may sound like a long time, but in the sixties when the leafs had their very own Junior A team (the [...]

Just me?

By Scot Loucks | Sep 12, 2009

So is it just me or did the comments just disappear after about 7:59pm and 229 posts on Shants latest piece?
If it isn’t just me, here is another open one to continue the excellent conversation.
Cheers

No Comment yet? How about an argument about 1000 games?

By Scot Loucks | Apr 9, 2009

This is about a few things … 3 actually. Its about the game….. about May getting honoured tonight…. and about goalies ….
Interested?
Come on in.

Gerber wins the battle of the Marty’s.

By Scot Loucks | Apr 7, 2009

Hanson scores his first NHL goal. Grabovski hits the 20 goal mark. Gerber makes the most saves in one game ever in his career, Blake sets a career best for assists with 37 and the goal scorers were all rookies. Certainly a game that a lot of Toronto players will remember for one reason or [...]

Leafs as spoilers? Did the Leafs just KO the Habs?

By Scot Loucks | Mar 22, 2009

Led by the line of Grabovski, Kulemin and Ponikarovsky the Leafs steamrolled a weak looking Habs team 5 to 2 leaving Leafs nation with huge smiles on their faces today.
Possibly the Leafs best effort of the season against a team that certainly doesn’t look like it belongs in the playoffs, could this game be the [...]

Berger, Wilson, McCormick and the Toronto Media.

By Scot Loucks | Mar 11, 2009

So we have all now seen and read endless diatribe about Ron Wilson taking on Berger last night during the post game press conference. We all know Wilson’s shots were directed at Berger for questioning his timing on the stick call against Spezza. (Most exciting part of that game).
Well McCormick on Sportsnet wrote an article [...]

Great Arena, Great Seats, good company…… sigh…. wasted?

By Scot Loucks | Mar 10, 2009

Lucky enough to attend this game in 9th row seats right at centre ice…. too bad there wasn’t a real hockey game taking place.
What can I really say about this one. Sitting in great seats with 2 Sens fans and a Blackhawks fan we got to see an example of how they play hockey in [...]

Not a fan of the “who we gonna get part” of the trade deadline.

By Scot Loucks | Feb 28, 2009

I’ve never been a big fan of speculating on deadline trades. Usually just about everyone knows who could be traded…. it’s rare that anybody knows the return they will bring…. or the effect they will have on the team they are traded to.
Too many fans/sports writers over value and under value a player’s worth dependent [...]

So these two teams can score at MSG….

By Scot Loucks | Feb 23, 2009

VS
In a game where you wondered if anybody was ever going to score… after 108 minutes and 53 seconds of scoreless hockey at MSG these two teams decide to score 3 goals in the next 2 minutes and 24 seconds……

Three games in one…

By Scot Loucks | Feb 10, 2009

So I started writing about this one after the first period….. game one.
I had a different take on the game after the second period…. boring and all about Toskala.
Then our beloved Leafs managed to make the game exciting for all the wrong reasons.
