Moore Dealt to Sabres

    Burke winds up dealing what he had to… I’m sure he’ll be a bit disappointed he couldn’t squeeze a bit more out of both the Moore and Antropov deals, but he was the victim of some unfortunate circumstances with the impending drop of the salary cap accentuating the value of draft picks and blue-chip prospects. There’s no real reason to be disconcerted with today’s outcome, it became increasingly clear throughout the last few weeks that Burke plans on leaving the majority of his work to the summer time. It’s a good bet Burke will attempt to use these acquired picks to move up in the draft order come June.

    Pierre LeBrun reports that the conditional pick acquired in the Antropov deal is contingent upon how successful the Rangers are in the playoffs.
