The Leafs are back at it after a welcomed four day lull in the schedule. The deadline hurdle has been cleared for the players, with no significant additions or subtractions to the roster. The group that got the Leafs into this position is going to have a chance to finish what they started by clinching the Leafs‘ first playoff berth in eight years. It’s tough to imagine James Reimer is viewing this as a vote of confidence, though, after his GM publicly admitted that Miikka Kiprusoff was of much interest to the team and that the two sides discussed the possibility of an extension.

Nonis’ deadline addition from Colorado, Ryan O’Byrne, landed in Toronto on Thursday afternoon and will be a game time decision. If he plays, Jonas Siegel has him beside his former playing partner in John-Michael Liles. Contrary to earlier reports, the Philadelphia Flyers unfortunately will not play their deadline add, Steve Mason, in net. That said, Ilya Bryzgalov’s numbers are not any better as the two sport matching .899 save percentages.

Frazer McLaren has been battling a flu and will be a game-time decision. Recalled from the Marlies this morning, Joe Colborne is available as a precaution.

Clarke MacArthur and Leo Komarov will both remain out of the lineup with upper-body injuries. MacArthur has missed the past three, Komarov the past five. Both players said they were close, but needed at least another couple days for full recovery.

Reimer gets the call in goal. He beat the Flyers in Toronto on February 11th and has lost only once in regulation in his last 16 games.

The Leafs are 2-0 against the Flyers with 4-2 and 5-2 wins.  The Leafs are coming off a four day layoff while the Flyers are playing out a back to back.
