Highlights: Marlies 5 vs. Monsters 2

Carter Ashton’s hat trick was the difference in a 5-2 Marlies win over the Lake Erie Monsters on Sunday afternoon.

Another player responding well to his demotion, Jerry D’Amigo added another assist (he’s been playing at a point-per-game pace for the last 12) in today’s win. Greg McKegg added two helpers while Brandon Kozun and TJ Brennan rounded out the scoring.

The Toronto Marlies defeated the Lake Erie Monsters, AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, by a score of 5-2 this afternoon at Ricoh Coliseum.
