Will the Flyers/Pens series live up to the hype? Will the Canucks find a way to make us hate them even more?

It all starts tonight. Pittsburgh and Philadelphia square off at 7:30 p.m. on TSN, Detroit and Nashville play their Game 1 at 8 p.m. on CBC, followed by Vancouver and Los Angeles at 10:30 p.m., also on CBC.

What are your predictions for these series? Have you adopted a team for the playoffs?

    not trying to bash aulie i think he will be a decent player for years but he was not a fighter nor was he really tough, yes he fought at times but he was not a bone crusher, playes did not fear him when they stepped on the ice remember he was still a kid

    Question is do they hold him through next year, drive for one more cup and hope to resign him for cheap or do they jump the gun, trade him for needs and hope who they bring in will fill the void?

    do pitts keep staal and move on with malkin? clearly crosby stays but would they trade malkin for the extra value and keep staal or try and keep 2 of the best plyers in the game together

    Honestly, I see Pittsburgh trading Jordan Staal. Having a one two punch of Crosby then Malkin is insane. Shouldn’t give that up. Nothing against Staal. If anything, would love to have him here

    If I am GM I’d risk it and keep him. It’s all about winning the cup.
    They certainly made a statement with the Neal signing though and will have Letang and Malkin to sign the year after they have Crosby and Staal to sign.
    I guess a lot will depend on the new CBA and how much the cap rises.
