Tampa Bay wins 4-2. ffs  Detroit one thing, one simple thing and you can't even do that right

It's a 3-way battle for two spots between Leafs, TB, and the Scabs...loser plays Boston.

I was originally hoping Detroit would win but I like Tampa pushing those bastards down the list and I hope they finish out of the playoffs.

Plenty of time to catch Tampa.

For all the Bernier second guessers over Reimer.. It is self evident even for them.

Statistically, over the last 3 yrs, Bernier is 9th in Save percentage with 922%... Bernier is 38th with 912

Tampa scores.  Better than a 3 pointer I guess.

Not that it matters, but the Isles are making a comeback against the Avs,  Were down 3 - 0 now 3 - 2 with just over a minute left.

@Burtonboy  no shit and I hope Burrows gets taken care of. What a chickenshit thing to do with a full facemask on

@CanuckUKinToronto

while I fully admit Bernier has been better you can't use that stat when he played with LA. Otherwise we should be saying we shouldn't have given up the best goalie in the league for Bernier

@Optimustic   solidifies us over Detroit and Sens now too..  Ensure playoffs first.. then worry about 3rd or 2nd.. would love to have Habs miss playoffs or us face them in first round (so they either suck and out or we finish 2nd andand them third

I will agree with you there. I'm not trying to bust your balls here so sorry if that's how it appears...but the comment about the self evedent stuff rankles me. Yes, we got a really really good goalie in Bernier....and we're shoving a really really good goalie in Reimer aside...one that brought us the best goaltending  we've had since around 2002. Sorry, it's not like we're choosing Bernier over Justin Pogge here.

@rockydundas @CanuckUKinToronto   I only posted it as a point that we went out and got Bernier for a reason. He is a top goalie.  He is proving it and not just this year - he has the historic record of consistency.  We always need to upgrade our team if we want to win the cup.  Bernier Reimer is better than Reimer Scrivens which was better than Reimer Gus

@CanuckUKinToronto @rockydundasI know. How it happened was, I read your comment and then looked at who wrote it and thought ..."Uh huh.."  Like I said, I'm happy for Bernier but I believe Reimer is every bit as good. he's gotten the shaft this year and wouldn't blame him for lost confidence. Bernier 'fans' won''t recognize this though.

No, I'm happy Bernie is doing well, but when Reimer was outplaying him earlier, and I'm a Reimer fan for the record, I didn't take it as an opportunity to take a shot at Bernier. There are a few on this board who are sparing no opportunity to play up Bernier over Reimer. Sorry if you haven't done this in the past, but i think we have had this conversation before....kinda getting tired of it.
